A team of multidisciplinary professionals assisting physicians in providing quality respiratory care to patients

Quality patient care is essential. In the changing health care delivery system the European Respiratory Care Association (ERCA) members, a multidisciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Biomedical Engineers and Respiratory Therapists are dedicated to providing clinical assistance and support to pulmonologists and other physicians in the management of the pulmonary patient. ERCA members are active in wellness promotion and the diagnosis, treatment, education and rehabilitation of people with respiratory disorders.

ERCA supports respiratory patient care performed in a multi-disciplinary team environment. By utilizing each member’s scope of practice we can better plan appropriate interventions, and evaluation of care plans.

Respiratory Therapists offer a balance between the demands of a highly technological environment and satisfying individual patient needs consistent with individual patient rights comfort and privacy.
