The European Respiratory Care Association is a professional association with the following objectives:

• Set uniform European respiratory therapy clinical practice & guidelines
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and other professional associations to unify respiratory therapy standards
• Offer fellowship programs within Europe and abroad
• Promote the Respiratory Care profession throughout Europe and the world
• Provide continuing education and related services to its members
• Promote research in Respiratory Care
